You would impress the owner most if you told him (her?) that you plan on leaving it stock. The owners want someone who is going to take care of the car as-is. Not rip the motor out, the interior out, etc etc. If you do get it, you will have a truly unique car that could be worth more than most cars on SM simply because it is unmolested. We had one with similar miles at the last KYana meet, and I think the owner said he paid $12k for it. I'm not sure what book value is on a car with that low of miles.

IMHO, if you want a fast car, go buy a sup thats got the basic mods and go from there. If you want a true collector's car, buy this one. And a nice garage to keep it in.

Keep us posted.

LOL. I'm all for 1JZ swappage, but that would be straight up WRONG to take the interior out. I used to want Recaro interior but shadow gray is rare as fuck. I'm not going to butcher it.

FYI...The shadow grey interior doesn't go away if you install the JDM Recaro interior!:nono: You just lose the 70lb black leather ds, along w/ the rest of the heavy ass stock black leather.
A 92 black sunroof, definately deserves the great 1JZ though! Doesn't matter how low the miles are on the 7M, you will face the bhg at some point before 100,000 miles!:aigo:

I know a guy that said this to buy his supra.

The night he brought it home he installed a sub, down pipe, and a bunch of other fun mods.

Try this monkey. It'll work. :biglaugh:

Sorry ZZZ, these cars are ment to be driven and enjoyed with tasteful modifications.

But, i'd love that car as is. With a built 5 speed swapped in. ;)

IMNSHO, our cars will never reach "higher" 5 digit values, unless Toyota wants to exhibit it in a museum (but, there's a few lower mileage supras and one 15 mile Canadian car). So enjoy it as if you were a new owner and baby it.

I'm sure as hell not telling the guy I'm planning on putting a 1JZ in the car. I'm making it seem like I'm keeping it in my garage and driving it on weekends.

I think this car would be perfect with my 1JZ, R154, and my exhaust.

No probs with that as long as you don't do a halfassed fuckup install where 90% of it doesn't work ;)

lol...i'm the guy that wanted my stock oil pressure gauge to work...trust me, everything will work (except cruise control...i don't have an actuator for it)

I think it would be worth more with a good condition 1jz...

im all for a 1jz+r154 in that car. its beautiful and with some tasteful mods, it would be fast, look nice, and not be ricer!

IMHO you should leave it as is..... For now. put some good miles on that engine first if you plan on eventually doing a swap. or if not then keep it nice and make it a weekend car. that is a beautiful example of an MKIII. you shouldn't hack it up. (im not saying you will) but i think id leave it as is for now drive it a bit here and there get some good miles out of that engine, and then in the future start tastefully modding it. in the end tho, if you buy it its your car and you need to do with it what you want. Good luck man and i hop you get it.

Keep it stock, its not every day you see a low milaged example, im sick of seeing these JZ swaps into low milaged Supras.

LOL. We can park next to each other at the local meets now. Except mine is dented as hell right now.

Things are coming together though. I'm hoping to get this car over the summer (sooner is better though). I'm so anxious.
