my turbo is starting to wine and iv decided to upgrade the turbo but i need to replace the turbo soon. Is it possible to upgrade to a 57 trim and do the fuel mods later when i get the money for them? or should i find a stock ct in good condition and put it on there for now untill i can upgrade both turbo and fuel? I tried searching but didnt find anything. Thanks

It would be fine to upgrade to the 57 trim, just keep it at stock boost until you get supporting fuel mods and a way to monitor the condition your engine is running in.

CT-26 don't usually have the death whine that is associated with some turbocharger failures.

So long as you don't have any mods that move FCO you'll be safe with the 57-trim. Whatever boost that FCO hits at you'll pretty much be safe to run just below.
