dead idle

i checked my codes for my bad idle,and 24,which is the intake air temperature signal,51 which is the air conditioner switch or neutral start switch signal.do If i got a different throttle body from the junk yard would that help the idle some.and the last code i read was ECT64,i don't even see a code 64.should i also reset the codes?

code 24 is intake temperature too warm. If you have a bad idle from a code 24 then you have serious problems. I'm going to assume you have an aftermarket intake?

24 Intake air Temp Sensor Signal
Diagnosis
* Open or short circuit in intake air temp sensor signal (THA).
Trouble Area
* Intake air temp sensor circuit
* Intake air temp sensor
* ECU

Not a air temp too warm/cold issue. Its a short in the afm or wiring that goes to it. Could be broken wire insulation at the connector, rubbing each other. Could be the sensor it self shorted out.

The TSRM has testing procedures for the air flow meter.

Meh, I actually don't like electrical problems. I haven't spent enough time at it, yet. Usually takes me a couple hours(and plenty of cussing and kicking things) to trace a problem, where someone more experienced can do it in a few minutes. I'm learning, though...
Give me something simple, like a timing belt, or head work, or detailing an engine block. I can rebuild a d.o.h.c. v-6 or v-8(three timing chains, and the chains line up the timing marks) without a problem. Give me a shorted dome light, and I'm in hell.
