This very same thing happened to me and it literally took me days to figure it out.

In the end I had put a single pole, or single filimant bulb into one of the dual filiment socket on my rear tail lights and it was shorting accross the dual poles.

Took forever to find.

/\ mine works but its also on full bright all the time too

gtimportfanatic - dont take it somewhere and pay for the install, it will take a total of like 5min to replace.

diagnose the whole thing first..dont just go changing fuses.. obviously the rheostat is a common problem.. seeing that i just found 4 people that have/had the problem within a day of me havin it lol .. it might be fuses.. but if its not... then u can always do what i did.. on the back of the rheostat.. the 3 wires should be green , white/green, white/black .. and they have silver striping on it
