well im changing the leds on the climate box, to blue leds, and i would like to do the same for the cluster, and was wondering if any one here knows how many bulbs are in the back of the cluster? im changing the bulbs that lets me see the speedo, rpm, boost, oil, ect, not the CEL.

same here but I cant figure out how to get the cluster out..lol.

its pretty easy, i took it half way out until i realized that i forgot it was cable drivin for the speedo, but theres a couple bolts, thats holding the cluster, and gonna have to remove the radio frame that has all the stuff and the frame that has the fog light switch, defroster, and etc and theres a couple screws there too. well i ordered the leds already, but i did it from ebay where its cheaper and i get 10x leds for the 74 for like 3 bucks, then 10x leds for the 194 for like 9 bucks, then i also ordered some more 3mm for like 10 bucks which brings 100x leds

Don't mean to hijack, but when you guys open up your climate control boxes for the LED swap, do you also clean the contacts for your sticky buttons as well? Mine on my 89+ box stick something awful and I figured I'd open it up to see if I could get the buttons working again.

yea I knew about the speedo, and I had the radio out w/frame and the section with the fog light button, etc, and every screw that I could find that I thought would be holding the cluster in...it seems like there is something at the lower rear of the cluster that is holding it in. I guess when my back and neck quit hurting from trying to look and see what's up.. I'll try again lol. On the plus side I moved my gps wires over to get them away from the A pillar...gonna be putting my boost gauge up there in the future, cuz its hard to see down by the ashtry lol.

@ drake, i have a 88T, and never had any problem, just my low button doesnt work, but i guess thats because of a wire they said, i forgot, and same with my 87, if it sticks it could just be dirty or something is sticky in there, and its simple to open, just take your time, ill post some pics when i get my leds

@ MKlll, i think what also could be holding it also is the speedo cable, but the speedo cable tip is on a bracket to keep it in the air, if you need help let me know.
