My son and I each got an elk on Saturday :naughty:

You should see what happens to a car when it hits an elk...pretty much destroys the car.

Yea dude! The car will go unless you would like to come and take a look. Hood, front nose cone, both head light motors and the whole assembly are still in good condition. I was afraid your radiator support was messed up but you are more than welcome to look at the parts.

Yeah, it's bent in. I tried hammering/pulling it back out but its pretty tough. I think this getting bent is what screwed up my headlights. I dont have to change the pic in my signature now do I...? jk
hey bud,
sorry to hear about the accident.

You wounlt be able to hammer the rad support back in place...wat i did was tie a rope to the rad support and the other end to a tree or something (if your cars running) and slowly drive back...or alternatively you can place your wheel jack between rad support and a safe solid mount on ya motor and jack it out...thats wat i did with my pulsar... hope this helps

cheers.

There's a 3 inch shallow dent in the passanger fender but I'm not too concerned. I think I might try the old rope around the tree deal. thanks for the idea. I think the headlights are not removable from the rad support and the headlight mechanisms are all screwed up. They might end up being full time bug eyes for a while...

Just got back from my 3 hour drive from Akito's house. What a great guy. He hooked me up with pretty much all I need to get back on the road. I should have it back together in a few days. I'll throw up some progress and finished pics too. Thanks again so much Akito!!!

Yup! Here's the list, both headlight assemblies, nose cone, front bumper, fan, hood. Hood latch assembly, i think some other stuff too but i cant remember. He was great, even gave me $40.00. I didnt intend to make money off him, i just wanted the stuff gone. Anyways, great guy.

Good to hear the community helping each other out when needed like that. Good on akito for offering the parts. Good luck to Linkstar in getting the car back together and avoiding deer!

A great tool to use is a porta power.

They can be bought for just over $200, but if you know anyone that works at a body shop; they may let you borrow one to straighten out your radiator support. (A body shop would probably charge less than that to straighten out that support). If not, I'm sure that someplace around you would most likely rent tools/equipment, and you might be able to rent one pretty cheap.

A porta power works like a hydraulic jack, and does wonders for straightening out things like radiator supports.
