Well I'm going to be getting a new car. As to whether its officially "new" (2006 model) I'm not sure. I have a budget of around $18000, payments must be somewhere near $200 or less, and I would prefer a lease. The car must be somewhat appealing, not looking for a sporty car and not looking for a powerful car, that's what the supra is for, but it has to be appealing. I would prefer not to have a honda, they just aren't my style.

Things I want:
4 door
Heat
AC
Cruise control
Automatic
CD player
Mp3 player (Most likely... not sure yet, have it in the supra and love it)
Good gas mileage
Thinking about a dark exterior and light interior

Used cars are DEFINETELY an option, as long as I can get them with a warranty, payments/lease, and they have what I want.

Please list all options, suggestions, opinions, or try and help me out as much as possible :naughty:

And no, the supra is not done, I just need a reliable daily driver while I work on my it and get it up, running, and reliable again.

Hybrids aren't in my budget... they're quite expensive.

New cars I've been considering:
Mazda3 4 door
Sentra 1.8
Saturn ION 2

I really am looking for the base model, with no options aside from the things I've listed, because that really is all that I want.

If youre buying it brand new.
"Used cars are DEFINETELY an option"?
Or you just aren't looking for that kind of car.

get a chevy aveo, my gf has one and its great, super gas mileage, still got enough power to get a fully packed car up some serious mountains.
They're cheap, and the ls or lt models come with the MP3 player like you want, the back seat is decent sized and the front seats are nice and comfy for me, (im 6'4" ~280lbs)

anywho..that's my opinnion

what about an 04/05 civic? I'm looking at them right now and they can be had for ~10 grand with very low miles... four door, honda reliability... you said you prefer not, but check 'em out. nice cars if left stock.

Yea I really like it.

Don't like the look of the aveo :icon_conf
fair enough, neither do i, but 43 mpg can be very persuasive, and that was with a car full of camping gear and heading up the Alleghany Moutains of Va.

also, if you don't like the looks of the aveo but still want that kind of utility, check out the Toyota Matrix

a used is300 or g35 sedans will run you about 18000. both are quality vehicles. they're both reliable, look good, and have decent power.

i'd recommend the infiniti. i have a 2 door g and love every second of it.
