daily drifter GA70 aerotop

well here's my piece of crap, 1989 GA70 aerotop..
it's in pretty good condition minus few paint problems here and there but i couldn't give a shit bout the looks.

it's old school toyota, so enough said really..

it's 5spd 1G twin turbo, which is good cause my old RZ was 1.5jz twin, so as you can see i like to be different.

i'll just make a list of what secret goodies it has;

motor;
pod filter, 3" straights with one cat.

wheels;
some shitty ones that came with it, helllllll gay

suspension;
superlow springs, again, helllllll gay

in car mods;
head unit, fire escape plan..


it slides as it is right now, hits and holds limiter in 2nd gear but only spins one wheel so need to put a 2way in it asssssssssap

my plans with it are to blow up the 1G and than put a 1j twin TO4ZE in it to run about 25-30psi daily.

everything on that list is what came with the car, since then i've stripped it and givin it a clean up all round, helped it a bit..

first things im going to do are some SSR viennas or some iforeged with bullshit crazy sizing (like 19x10 +5) and also hsd coilovers to drop it about 30-35mm off the ground (lowest point)

i'll take better pics tomorrow when the suns out, i live in australia and night time now so bit hard to get good pics..

i need some help peeps, i want around 250-320hp without doing many mods, the only real power gain it has right now is it's free boosting ( the acuator hoses are off to let the ct12's spool like a mo'fo ), it's not enough power, it's alot more than stock, but i need more :naughty:

incase you guys havent realized it yet, im trying to kill it too

That's a good way to kill the turbos, not sure about the motor though. A good way for more HP is always.. more boost, more fuel, less restrictions. Translated to actual parts.. free flowing downpipe/exhaust. Turn up the boost/bigger turbo(s). Upgraded I/C and piping. As well as fuel system: Injectors, pumps, regulator.

I'd normally say "make sure your motor can handle it", but seeings how you're trying to kill it..

Also, as always please verify the condition of your suspension, tires, and brakes before doing any HP mods!

yeah 2L twin turbo, but mine isn't heavy so it's good power to weight

Remember seeing an article about a 1G in an old Celica I think it was... Had a huge turbo pushing 500+ HP on a stock motor, so I assume they're pretty stout. As we didn't get them here, they're extremely rare, and I've never seen one in the flesh...

it's my 2nd 1G, first one i blew up from running a to4 on 25psi with just frount mount and exhaust being only other power mods, was great fun for a few months.

i'll take some good pics today and show you what this rare powerhouse motor looks like LOL

not bad, I've seen a few 1G's here in Alberta. I think importers bring them in because their much cheaper and they sell for just as much as any other supra here. Although they seem real under-powered for a supra powerhouse lol

yeah they are slow as hell stock, but when you up the boost to round about 15-17psi it's more fun, can't wait to blow up the 1g to do a 1.5j again, powerhouse here we come !

it's pretty hard here in QLD to find a manual MKIII supra thats turbo in good condition, too bad the one i got has been stripped lol

bit of an update seeing how it's been a while, just brought a HKS boost gauge and new deep dish nardi style steering wheel, will put pics up tonight!

and just a hinty hint, i may be sourcing parts for a 1.5j build with twin t04z's!
