I checked the link again, I missed the price the first time. I'm blind. Must have been distracted by the pretty pictures :)

That's not a bad price at all actually. I take it, it's a DIY installation sort of thing? Or do they have harnesses available? I'm impressed at the resolution of that thing. 32x64 tuning tables is very impressive. That's more then my damn v-pro.

how much did ya pay if ya dont mind me asking?

1735.00 delivered bought off wolf site.:naughty: :biglaugh: When I put final shipping addy in it went to 1735.00 shipped. One of the guys here in ny has the 3d v4 ad display and wow is all I can say! Get rid of all of your gauges if you like with the display unit. I have the LM1, and no xd-16 display gauge, and I dont need to pay the extra 200.00 for the xd-16 gauge with this dash unit, It displays lots of info.,and engine parameters like EGT's. Anyone that wants the wolf 3d v4+ I can get shipped a few for 1400.00 with the hand controller!

Nice, but dang that's a chunk of change for sure.

AEM is now 1500.00 and you need a new wire harness, because the old stock harness will not be sufficient. Old cracked wires will not deliver the proper info to the ecu. With the wolf the new harness is supplied. Tun-x wired his own standalone, and this should be just as easy to install as the Haltech I almost oredred. For 1500.00 you get the new ems and harness but it must be wired in. It can be tuned to run in closed loop so theres a chance at passing emissions, and it will run more stable consistent power running in closed loop.It has traction control, and error codes to letyou know what sensor is malfuntioning. It has a security system built in as a perk so only you can start the car I hear there is a header panel that can be ordered to make or have made your own adapter harness. They already have adapter harness's made for some carswith more coming in the future! Also it has an economy map so you can get great gas mileage

Whats up Patrick...:biglaugh:

Not to nitpick, but aren't power, and economy areas on a table mutually exclusive? One is high MAP, high RPM, the other is low MAP, low RPM? Meaning you can have both power and economy on a map depending on how heavy your foot is?

Of course, but tuining one way, or the other is an option, so why pick at an available option. You either use it or don't use it. The cool thing is it is there for you to use at no extra cost. You aren't nit picking you are asking unwarranted, and possibly a redundant question.:biglaugh: :nono:

Making a quality harness isn't going to be cheap and easy (maybe one or the other, but definantly not both). Let us know how it goes.

actually wrong

knowing wolf the harness they include is Tefzel based. In the harness world.. Tefzel is were the buck stops. It don't get much better in wires for shear environmental survivability and abrassiveness resistance than that.

It is still only a flying lead. How well it is finished and routed is going to determine how well the Wolf (and Anthony's engine!) works.

Correct

that why you would use some Raychem DR-25 on the wiring to protect it even further. You do not need to though. Just depends on the environment. I know in the aviation world no sheathing was ever used. Just tefzel based wire ;)

Well you need to make some terminations eventually. You've got 3 options I can think of.

1. Figure out how to get you old connectors onto your new wires
2. Get new stock connectors
3. Get new sensors with new connectors

1 isn't easy and 2+3 aren't cheap, all of them require some skill from the person doing the work. Seems to me figgie and I have had this discussion beofre and "agreed to disagree" as it were. I'll be interested to hear QWIK's methods and results.

Good job Quick! I think that is well priced.A little cheaper than the Motec but has some good options to compare somewhat. :biglaugh:
