Yes, but when I did a second 'at operating temp' compression test my results were also consistantly higher than when i did it on the motor cold.

-I think im going to do a hydrocarbon test to know for sure

Anyways..I drove it all day yesterday, checking everything regularly, and it is holding its coolant in the rad, the overflow is staying where it was. I suppose that the HC test will tell for sure, I'll let you guys know when I find out..

At this point, I would feel comfortable in suggesting the mhg and arp's and you may as well make it a "freshen up". (Varying degrees available... by budget and skill.;))

The head on a sevenem is not something to be gambled with. imho.

...better to KNOW.;)

EDIT: ^^^ er... some of you will laugh at that! ...being a "clown-car-drivin'-gambler" myself. DOH!

Its probably only leaking under boost. You'll get a pressure wave into the cooling system when the turbo spools up. If this is the case, it's your warning shot over the bow. Get the parts to replace the head gasket. Go with the ARP Studs. they are well worth the cost/difficulty involved with installation. Chemical tests for CO are not 100% accurate, and I know I'll probably get flak for that one, but I've replaced at least a dozen HG over the years that showed no evidence of CO in the coolant. Also, I assume that the bolts were backed off ONE AT A TIME and retorqued, because to break the seal on a head gasket and then expect it to reseal again would be a real leap of faith.
