The back section of my superdragger is pretty banged up from a few yrs of scraping shit. Has anyone cut out this whole section and just welded in straight tube? Just curious how it sounds. This is how it looked when I bought the car and its considerably worse now. Thanks!

Im running the oppisite of that, just the resonator with a straight pipe replacing the rear muffler. I love the way it sounds and its not all that loud which would lead me to believe that resonator does quite a bit for sound deadoning. I know its not what your considering but I hope that helps a little

Thanks for the input. Im just going to be replacing it w/ the pipe most likely, the muffler and all that will still be there. Trying to see how much of a role the muffler actually plays.

It's a tuned system...

It's your car and you can do what you want, but I wouldn't do ANYTHING that will induce drone in an exhaust, it's downright MADDENING.

yea it's a little on the loud side, but it's not crazy loud

Awesome! Just what I was looking for. Does it sound raspy or ricey? I wish I could just run open dp, but that sounds like gargling rocks w/ a hangover.
