I figured I would post up a few pics to see what everyone thinks. I made this for one of the local supra guys and his clean ass 92. I also built the intercooler set up in the pictures as well as alot of other stuff. It is a little bit bigger than 3 in so it matches the AFM perfectly.

I only have three words to say, Hard Tuned Motorsports, nuff said! :icon_surp That intake pipe is tighter than JDM TYTE! Darian, can definitely fabricate! Whoever Supra that is got one hella JDM TYTE i/c piping set-up! :aigo: If I had another Supra, I would have him do the work again!

Btw Darian, you have a couple of peeps waiting for you to custom fabricate their i/c piping :naughty: and make use of your wholesale license. :biglaugh:

I did a 3'' exhaust system for my eclipse, had to do a lot of pie cut style stuff, was it the best looking? no. did it work and perform yes. I could have sat there and grinded down the welds and made it mirror polish... but i could care less. and you can make any bend you want, go get a 180 pipe and cut it how ever you want... its simple as that. And i would have a TIG welder but we dont have the space in the garage... and you can find anything you want on the internet with a little patience and a few part numbers. And i've done some beads with my $400 Lincoln MIG welder that look as good as some of the welds i've seen on here...
Sorry, Im one who thinks that a car should look as good as it performs. Also you dont need to preach at me about pie cuts either, I made a turbo inlet for this same person on his old car to go from a sp61 to his ARC intake box but again I am a stickler for making a quality piece that functions well and is aesthetically pleasing even if it means spending a little more money and time. If you want to make a piece that is cheap and hacked looking then thats fine more power to you but what is your point bringing this up here? I see no point on you posting what you did considering I never mentioned this being for sale and or posted a price. You are going on about how cheap and easy it is to make what I did so DO IT.

VERY Nice welds!!!! you did some great work. i also like the second piece w/ pie cuts.

what is the ID of your first piece? the only thing i cant get on-board with is the wall thickness due to the cast-icity of the elbows you use. other than that, man its nice!

however, i vote for this guy's setup... :)

I dont have the measurement off hand but it matches the AFM perfectly. The casting isnt as thick as the standard elbows you see for sale.

im guessing the wall thickness is 0.125" then. that would put your ID somewhere around 3.25", maybe a hair smaller.

i ordered 3.5" tubing for my intake, as well as the appropriate couplers to install it. i had to use the 3.5" since my Lexus meter was 3.5" OD so it fit perfectly.

i really need one too. but i dont have an afm. so it would have to be 3" to 3" with same air filter location as though i did have an afm.
my accordian hose is ghettorigged right now since it wont fit over my turbo. my accordian hose goes to a 2in adapter to the 3" inlet on the turbo. and im not running an afm so i cant use the power steering resivior bracket, so its on an angle.
you could start a business doing this. lazy people like me who suck at welding would buy these like hot cakes. no one wants to lay out almost 200 for a cooleze.
let me know if your gonna make em up.

The Juggernaut has my old
I smell group buy.... I think it looks alot better that the cooleeze one... if you do make a one time batch you could do it as a group buy.....but either way I would like one.... but would like it with 3 ports like the stock accordian hose.... plus one on the bottom for the powersteering pump...
