Don't buy used coilovers unless you can test drive them before you buy. 99% of the time they're completely worn out and all the adjustment sleeves are seized.

If you have $600 you should just spend another $100 and get the Megan EZ-Street coilovers for $700. A lot of people here have them and like them.

Could possibly get in on some Stance coilovers from THMotorsport (a vendor on here, check their section and PM Jonathan), they had a sale recently. Not sure if they're still selling them at that price though... A bit more pricey, but you know what you're getting. Plus, these that you've found are $700 shipped, the Stances were only a bit more than that new... shipped.

Cusco makes great stuff (Cuscos are $2300 brand new)...but the issue is that if they need a rebuild it's a hassle. Try contacting Cusco or one of their dealers about rebuilds before you decide.

I just asked the guys who are selling the coilovers and they do not offer any recourse if the coilovers are DOA or are not functioning properly. Doesn't seem like a good idea. lol

That is a sign to walk away if I ever saw one... this coming from a guy who will have his suspension up for sale in a couple months. :p

Who is going to let you install and test parts before paying, or selling coilovers that are still installed on the car? Out of the 50+ sets of coilovers I've bought from Japan only one has had a blown shock.
Of coarse I carefully buy parts worth importing so this is a bit different than buying from a middle man /importer who doesn't care about the history, only profit.

Auction states a 14 day money back return policy (to lower eBay FVF's) even though the description says different, shady seller.

Yeah I guess that chance doesn't come up often, unless you belong to a local car club just for the type of car you have.

Most cases though if you can at least get your hands on them to make sure they're not seized or leaking you'll be fine, or at least get some good pictures to make sure they're clean looking. Those are not clean looking, even from the one crappy pic he posted in the auction.

How about Tein HA's with 5k on them for $700? Worth it? :D

maybe. if they are blown you can get them rebuilt in the states. think its around 80-100 per coilover. check tein's site it gives rebuild pricing

personally i would only pay that price if i knew for a fact they were not blown

I finally got a picture of the Teins I was talking about. Are you guys able to make out what model they are by looking at the picture?

Wish I could, but I can't. The coilovers are 5 hours North of the owner and he won't be back for a few weeks. :( He took that picture for me before he left. It's all I have to work on.
