Cup holder mod

Get some cardboard cup holders that come with your meal if you get take out, trim the cardboard down and stick it in the centre console or anywhere else a guy I know used to do this cheap and easy. I don't usually take food or drink into my car also.

All the good stuff comes in bottles anyway, I usually don't allow anyone to have cups in my car... just in case.

FYI, a good option if you do drink stuff in cans/cups, get a Vitamin Water (for smaller drinks) or a 1L Pepsi/Mt Dew bottle, and after finishing the contents, wash and reuse the bottle. Works like a charm for me, and MUCH less chance of spilling.

I beg to differ, and bottles need somewhere to sit, too.

The main use that mine actually gets is for coffee. Hot coffee doesn't come in bottles, nor am I interested in trying to pour my coffee into a bottle. If I had that kind of time, I wouldn't need to drink it in the car.

Made it from scrap at work in about 10mins

Holds my morning coffee and my afternoon soda just fine. I should try to make something a bit "prettier" but time to do it isn't there.

^This is the only option that matters to me because I fucking hate having the armrest open. Just adding more cupholder crap in there still makes the car awkward to drive, especially if its a manual.

There was a DIN sized one that fits above or below your stereo from a Corolla, I think.

Travel mugs by Contigo kick ass, too. Fully sealable, push button activated to drink, insulated, and most coffee shops will fill them directly and save a cup. http://www.gocontigo.com/autoseal-stainless-steel-travel-mug.html Just don't put carbonated beverages in them. The pressure builds up inside, and when you press the button they explode in your face like some freaky porn clip.

Thats me! I love the cupholders, they are out of the way, and do exactly what they are supposed to do. It also gives you a good place to put your phone, ipod, etc. The best part is you don't see it when the console lid is down, and even when it is up it looks factory and no one would ever know that it didn't come with the car factory.

Fair enough. I wouldn't want to take the chance of spilling a hot beverage in my car with the way I like to corner... Could always go for cocaine if you're in that much of a hurry in the morning.

Oh, and as for bottles, they fit perfectly between your leg and the door, or the door and the seat, depending on how tall you are.
