Well, I dyno'd the other day and had some low numbers. I only dyno'd at 307 wheel hp at 16psi. My car used to be an n/a. It was the first time that I had been, but the guy said that my car ran great except that I was loosing spark at higher rpm. I have my spark plugs gapped at .0028 and as far as that, the only thing that I can think of is a msd unit. You can feel the car start to hesitate at around 5000+ rpm. He also said that my wastegate hole on my ct 26 wasn't venting good enough and it was restricting my horsepower and not allowing me to get a steady boost climb. I am very disapointed and thought that I would have hit a lot higher. I had an even 1.5-1 afr throughout the rpms. Mt mods are:
ct26 60-1
550's
walbro 255
cooleeze ceramic coated hardpipes
spearco intercooler
lex afm
cooleeze ceramic air filter pipe
3.5 inch turbo back exhaust w/ no elbow or cat
aero turbine 3.5 inch muffler
aluminum racing radiator
dual flex-a-lite fans
j-tube removal
egr-removal
r-154
stage 2 clutch
fidanza aluminum flywheel
turbo xs dual stage boost controller
safc-II
blitz turbo timer
tms 2.0 mhg
new plug wires/bosch plugs

I think that this is all, there may be more?? I don't know that this guy was totally accurate with his opinion and that the ct26 60-1 should get more hp than this with these mods. I just wanted to get your opinions on what I can do to fix this or if this guy is correct. He admitted that he hasn't done very many supras tuning before, mostly amreican stuff.

Is your turbo holding boost all the way to redline? That's usually where the upgraded turbo's problem is. The wastegate spring is too weak, so it won't hold boost till redline.

Yup. My stock ct went from 12 psi to 8psi right at 5k rpm. Dropped like a rock. I've also heard that our cars don't like bosch plugs. (don't ask because I don't know why).

Bosch plugs don't work too well in most Supras. Buy some NGK or Autolite coppers. That could be reducing your power, but it should have no effect on the amount of boost you can run. My car with a 57 trim has been able to run 20psi for extended periods of time. I haven't had good experiences with MSD units either. The 7mgte ignition is pretty strong, it has plenty of spark for your turbo and you shouldn't need any aftermarket ignition components. A good set of wires and a good set of plugs and you should be ok.

With your mods it should make about 300whp at 11psi, and about 350whp at 16psi.

:werd: You got some serious mods done there to just be laying down right above 300HP. Somethings deffinitely messed up in you setup somewhere...

Tubbie, I have to stop and stare at you sig every time you post for like 30 seconds! I swear it looks like she's saying "blow job" ;).

I know thatis what I have been thinking. Do you guys have any ideas of what to check for to see what is wrong? Is there any way that the dyno shop could have got inaccurate readings? The guy said that he couldn't get an accurate tach signal. My tach guge was non-turbo and wasn't working. I have since replaced it with a turbo cluster, and the gauge works now, but is way off.

What does the 1.5-1 afr mean?
