i recently took my ct26 apart. after taking the aluminum compression housing off and the compressor wheel. underneath that was a snap ring and an aluminum spacer (i guess its called the top bearing) and pressed inside the spacer is some sort of seal. the rubber part of the seal was hard, brittle, and broken. inside, and behind the rubber seal was a spring.

anyway, ive looked in alot of places for the name/numbers for the seal and havnt found anything. any help on where i could buy one would be great.

(Note, this is an IHI carbon seal pressed into a front seal plate)

well i got 2000 miles on mine ... and no problems.. but i still dont see how a turbo can be that far out of balance if its the same stuff going back in sept seals and bearings.. You will have to clue me in on how they can become unbalanced

thanks greg

The difference between being in balance and out of balance is as much as...

THE CRAP THATS ON YOUR COMPRESSOR WHEEL FROM THE PCV SYSTEM AFTER 100,000 MILES.

Thats how little we're talking about here....
