I did search, and found stuff for aftermarket turbos. Does anyone sell a turbo blanket for a CT26 that will fit under the stock heat shield?

THANKS!

highly doubtful as there is no room under the OEM heatshield.

a regular turbo blanket is "adjustable" to fit over alot of turbos, i haven't seen one that was specific to any 1 turbo as of yet. the one i have (boost logic) fit over my ct, sp61gt and now keeps my jt61gt warm :)

A better question is why run both? I see no added benifit.

Im guessing to get the benifit of a blanket and the look of stock.

My recommendation is take the turbo out and have it ceramic coated and use the stock shield over that.

Bingo. I'm going to have the heat shield ceramic coated..not sure if it will really help but I'm having other stuff done at the same tim so it will be cheap/free. My DP is also ceramic coated. I will have my 57trim donor ceramic coated too...that gives me a good reason to upgrade ;)

i would think that ceramic coating everything would do the job. i have the intake manifold, exhaust manifold and heat shields coated, and about to get the turbo heat shield done. i think all those components should be more than enough.
i used to run a turbo blanket, and did notice a significant drop in underhood temps (wasnt running the turbo heat shield at the time). ill let you know once my new motor is up and running

I've always wondered, how effective is the stock heat shield? I've run with mine off but only for a trip up and down the block so I wouldn't be able to compare. The engine bay is extremely hot all the time so I've been considering a blanket too.

Duane, my hp goal is 1/3 your actual HP. I'm just trying to reduce heat and keep an OEM look, in a car that didn't have a 7M OEM ;)

I am just messin with you but I would have either, or, not both as stated.
