ct26 question

hey i got my 57 trim ct26 off my blown motor and i'm wondering how easy is it to take apart and clean up... like i've got oil in the exhaust housing and i just wanna get it looking fresh and new once i get the new motor. thanks guys

If the oil on the exhaust housing is coming from the turbo, your turbo most likey need a rebuild.

really i just wanna clean the inside of the exhaust housing and the inside of the intake housing and the outside of it all together just to clean it all up... whats the best way

on original ct26 you can take the compressorhousing of but not the exhaust housing, not without re-balancing as far as i know. There are 2 metal pins between bearinghouse and compressor house so you cant twist it around like on other turbos, it has to be pushed out in one direction. I used a coppar or led hammer. But first the big metal ring has to be removed from compressor backside. I think you will find it pretty clean and not worth the effort..

alright is there just something i can rinse through it? i had a cracked block and all the oil and coolant mixed and came out the exhaust manifold
