Thanks for the info. I figured you can get more out of the ct. 500whp should be easy from what you saying I can make that power with the stock twins also IDK KNow really thats why im asking im still doing my homework on what I wanna do with my 1jz. Im going to look about all the parts you mentioned and call mike and see wats good and if its the same a driftmotions im going wit arrons im trying 2 get the best deal. I still have all my 7M Parts turbo and everything.....:naughty:

I was just wondering I didn't see you mentioned anything about cams where you making that kind of power with the stock cams?? If not wats the best size for that set up??:1zhelp:

For the injectors i got a set of 2jz 550' and i still got my resistor from my 7m so they can work right just gotta get the pump which is no problem. I need to check the supra man in hallendale all he does is supra he can lead me in the right direction..:1zhelp:

1 more ? im running stock twins and I bought and intercooler from driftmotions its 24" 12" 3" with 3" inlet/outlet and the piping is 2.75". Is my intercooler and piping 2 big for the twins I was just wondering my homeboy Fargo told me to us 2.5" so it would fill up the intercooler fast and 3" to the intake manifold what u think......I about to put everything together a soon as my engine gets here 2marrow.:evil2:

Nippon Teku lay off the ganja, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Stop making us yardman look bad. I know most of the high powered supra guys in the tri-county area and non of them run the ct-26. Most guys here run 67mm and above. Supraman0858 I highly suggest that you do your research and think about your power goals because the ct26 will not give you 500hp no matter what. I think the max a ct26 will give you is about 380whp if that.

I thank all you guys for your input after doing my own research and after reading this thread I figured out what can be done and what cant be done with the CT26 and when I read Lexus AFM on a 1jz I never heard of that on a 7M yes but on a 1j I dont think so but I think I got the anwser to my ? I need something bigger than a ct2657 for he power I wanna make because if im going single I wanna be able to make at least 500whp so it would be a waste of time and money to put the ct on my 1j if its not going to do what I want it to do so I'm going to take another route turbo wise. I was jus trying to be cheap and use the ct26 but know I see its worthless for what im trying 2 do. So thank you all for your input again..... I appreciate the info.

Another ? what would be a nice reliable turbo for the 1j that will make 500+ whp? Would the 550's be able 2 do that or i need bigger...

If your trying to save money, do some research on holset. They are found on cummins turbo diesels making them easy to find and relatively cheap. Theres a fair amount of guys running them, and theres a good chance I will when I get to that point. Hopefully some of the guys with them will chime in here.

IDK I might jus play around with the CT26 until I get my money up to buy my turbo upgradeand all the necessary parts like cams and adjustable cam gears computer upgrade and fuel system upgrade and a little head work done a 57trim ct might do for now while im running stock fuel system stock cams and stock computer cuz when I build my supra i want my shit done right with no half steps. Supras are known to be a beast on the streets all I want is 500whp for the street anything more than that it should be strictly for the track. All im trying to do is to gain as much experience from previous supra owners that have that beast so I can get some pointers of what 2 do and what not 2 do.

400's if pushed VERY hard on a 57trim or larger

Then you have a cherry red turbine pumping out stupid hot temps causing more problems than the extra boost is worth...

This is a good idea. Your not gonna need the cams/cam gears to hit 500hp but otherwise you got the right idea. Trying to out run your wallet is a good way to blow things up.

EDIT: I'm thinking 7M...maybe you do need cams for the 1JZ, I cant answer that.

If you want any benefit from a 57 trim upgrade you gonna have to upgrade you fuel system, otherwise fuel cut will be your best friend. And dont go and buy a FCD trying to work around the fuel cut, you'll just blow something up. Look into lex/550s with safc or MAFT Pro if you want to break into the 300s safely. Spend some time in the Articles section, theres a thread about steps to take when modding.

As for 500 hp, get you car running right for now, and drive it. Some things you will learn easier with lower hp. Learn the car as you make it more reliable and then build it. You will learn more about the car mechanically as well as driving it, will be less likely to blow things up, and will save $$ in the long run.
