okay i did some searching but couldn't find any really good answers i'm just looking for some opinions.

a little while ago i bought a turbo from ebay i wasn't expecting much... anyways when it got here the shaft play wasn't bad but the shaft doesn't spin that freely by that i just mean if i spin it and let go it doesn't spin on its own very long. so i assume that the bearings are shot. i noticed the rebuild faq in the turbochargers section and wasn't sure if i could handle that. My question is where is the best and cheapest preferably place to get it rebuilt? i'm just looking for a stock rebuild. i noticed mdc motorsports does it for like 375? anywhere better? and for comparison where can i get a rebuild kit from?

I had mine done at PT turbo in California after Priority Toyota in Colonial Heights (wathall exit 95 south) LIED about an oil leak from their "master toyota technician's" shoddy work. They claimed the turbo was leaking.... PT was honest and called and said "We are sorry but your turbo is fine and we feel bad about rebuilding a good turbo" so they did a rebuild, balance and upgraded it to a 57 trim for 475$

I still like that they called and asked what I wanted to do...
