CT-12s on a 7M

After browsing a few FS threads with cheap aristo twins, I was wondering how hard it would be to mount them on a 7mgte. The idea is to make 2 log manifolds with one flange facing up, one facing down, with 2 y-pipes, one for the intake, one for the exhaust. People have made 400+ on the aristo twins on a 2jz-gte so it shouldnt be too hard to make that on a 7m, especially when I get some 264s.

Now keep in mind before you say upgrade a ct, or buy a bolt-on upgrade, right now I have a 7m-ge in the engine bay, and alot of the parts to convert it to a gte, but dont have a manifold. I also plan to go MAP-ECU of Maf-t (depending on finances)

Ideas, concerns, constructive criticism, feel free to post up.

Its not the manifold, I wanted to try something dofferent. Within 1 hour i can grab a manifold as well. I would also be able to make more off the ct12s than the ct26

why would aristo twins be a worse idea than a stock CT-26?
price.
The ct26 has support on the 7m, the twins don't, so it would be very expensive to make this.
Just go t4, its the best option out of them all.
all in all its a dumb idea.

i think its a step outside the box and you should go for it. yea a ct26 would be easier overall but tt 7ms are few and far between.

main concern would be getting the piping correct and youd be good to go after a ffim.

If I was going to spend the time fabricating parts to make a TT system for a 7M, I sure as hell wouldn't use some CT12s. If you're going to be doing a considerable amount of custom work, you might as well use some decent turbos.

I have the fab work covered, there is an able bodied fabricator in CT who is also on this forum. estimated price is under a grand for CT12s w/ DPs, no clue on a T25 option, but probably under 1500

They were designed to be used in sequential . Running them in parrallel they are very laggy for the amount of power they make .

Red= sequential , blue= parallel .

looks like in parallel theres more torque sooner, how is it laggyer? looks like it comes in harder in sequential but sooner in parallel. unless you just got the colors backwards.

There are twin turbo manifolds for the 7m on ebay. I'm not sure but if the flanges are different you could modify it or just make an adapter.

yea well {shrug} you went 1jz a while ago so that settles the arguement of what to do with a 7m doesnt it? ;)

but yea a slightly larger set of twins wouldnt be a bad idea but since there are so many sets of twins floating around i wouldnt sweat it. plus if you wanted bigger later on your could always rip the old flanges off and weld in new flanges if you already made the manifold.

bottom line: do what you want, its your car. what makes you happy is what you should do
