My cruise control is not working. The cruise control light turns on but nothing else works. When I installed my speedo cable it worked twice that day and never again since then. I adjusted my clutch switch and checked the cables at the acutator under the hood. Is there any other common fail point that I should check before going through the hole TSRM?

When you try to set the cruise control. Does the light on the crusise control button flash by chance?
Definately read the TSRM. It tells you how to pull codes out of your car.

The switches were dirty. Some electrical cleaner and everything works now. There were some differences between my 87 supra and the 1990 TSRM ohms for the control switches. Since it works I guess these are the corect values for 87:
Set 220 ohms
Cancel 131 ohms
Resume 69 ohms
Set 220 ohms
Cancel 131 ohms
Resume 69 ohms
