The shift selector lever on my A340 was cut when it was removed from the donor car. I gave my old tranny away :nono: so I need to know due to the rarity of the Cressida making it difficult to find parts - is the selector lever the same or similar enough to interchange with a supra unit?

EPC is showing only for the supra... so it's not the same part, I can at least tell you that.

You'd have to try it and see...

Print that picture, or highlight what you need and email it to Champion/Jay Marks. That is who the first link is. That picture is the Supra shifter. I don't know why they don't list a shifter, other than it may be no longer available. You might end up on ebay.

that diagram is for the shifter assembly, the part i need would be the actual metal rod that is attached to the transmission. i think that the diagram is everything just north of that part.

yeah i figured, and trust me i am an ebay hound for oem spares. more than likely i will have to wait for a local junkyard or get into contact with a cressida owner to find one. thanks for the info, though.

You need the range selector. I don't remember anymore if that is what Toyota calls it. I should have noticed the selector part of your post.

Based on that picture, it makes me think the range selector is not available seperate. My first thought is that can't be, but it sure looks that way. That is the electrical portion of the A340E in the lower diagram.

But there is this also.

my work computer doesnt load those pages for some reason. so its def going to be a junkyard find then. guess ill just wait it out or start putting together the r154 instead.

i also wanted to say thanks to you nick, youre a wealth of info. next time i need a part, hopefully i wont have to ask until ive exhausted my other resources.
