ok, so lets get this back on topic.

Post up if you fit the criteria and would sport GOML sticker somewhere on your car.

If there is even a slim interest I'll get someone to make up the stickers and give em out.

Ha! awesome.

I too listened to foghat in Jr High, When I was just 16 my parents made us spend the whole summer in the Chicago area (parents families lived there) and my older brother and sister took me to see some big summer rock festival of some description. I remember seeing Foghat, Ted Nugent, and Styx. My brother and sister got to see Led Zep :aigo: now thats one I wish I could have filed in my "done" list.

Ya know Im just gonna do this and design the sticker and get em made, but I was thinkin, why limit this to just SM. Im actually thinking of starting an unofficial national GOML club. It would be open to any over 40 hot rodders/tuners. That way us "farts" would have a place to get away from the "kids", a sort of "Base Lawn" so to speak, LOL

Lol, Im not even close to 40 and I could pass that 60s, 70s, and 80s pop culture quiz. I'm sitting here telling myself I'm getting old because I'm turning 20. Lol.

Sometimes people grow up old or grow up young. Like in my case my older brother and sister made me grow up old, meaning I was into the Beatles and then tie-dye long before I was even in Jr High. My very first record that I owned for myself was Styx Equinox and I was only like 12.

I think maybe this topic has enough merit to continue discussing but perhaps it belong in OT? Mods? feel free to move it if you think it needs to be.

I guess I grew up old, lol. I used to drive around in the car with my dad while he would listen to The Beatles, Yes, The Who, Jethro Tull, Gensis, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Rush, Supertramp, etc. And now I find myself listening to those albums more than I do the radio. And when I do listen to the radio its on the classis rock station. Lol.

And for the record, It will be a joyous occation for me when the time comes that I can spray little kids with a hose yelling get off my lawn. I wait for the day!

Any of you old guys remember the band Triumverat? Lol.

What is it with old people and their lawn anyway?

i will be 26 on the 29th, so im not old yet. but i just bought my first house. i spend 5 to6 hours a week mowing, weed eating, and watering my lawn. not to mention the money i spen to have it fertilized and the weeds killed. so when some kid is fucking up all my hard work, it just kinda gets to you. its like when you just washed and waxed your car, only to come out and find the neghbors cat has left foot prints all over it.
