All right, these are from my parts car. When you take off the bottom timing cover, this is what you should see on the crank(Yours should have a timing belt, I cut mine off when I pulled the head).

This is what the pulley should look like when you have it off:

In the next pic, see the two little holes? They're threaded so that you can use a puller to slide it forward. I wiggled this one off by hand:

Hope that helps............

I got news for you: I have what you have, that picture of a washer that we saw didn't look like that at least not to me, it looked larger, maybe because of the camera angle, but, "yeah,... that's what I have, and the pulley must still be creeping forward, and rubbing the belt on the cover. I'm gonna get pictures so, you can see what I have. For now,.. thanks a lot! that helps me out. I thought you mean another washer besides the one you showed me, Thanks.:biglaugh:

Thanks,..Cuel

I noticed your oil gear drive is facing the same direction as mine,so there's no way that my gear is backwards (You didn't say that) but some else mentioned that possbilty.
I talked to a Toyota mechanic and he said that it should be a snug fit, also the manual showed a puller to remove it, that tells me that it's should be a snug fit. I adjusted my woodrift key so that it sat "level" where before, it was cocked fornt to back, it was higher in the back of the key and little lower in the front of the key
let ya know as it get's put together,

Thanks again,..Cuel we'll:naughty: be talking!
