Lately my buddy's car has been getting louder and louder. We recently discovered that his DP has cracked right at the flex pipe. Its approximately 2 years. Any idea if this can be repaired?

:aigo: DAMN! That flex section obviously didn't flex enough LOL. You should be able to get it welded at any local mufler shop. That must have been one huge speed bump....

yeah you can have it rewelded, or you can replace the flex section. the ones that arent covered w/ braid like you have are super cheap.

One other thing - if that pipe has been ceramic coated (looks like it might be), you will have to remove the ceramic in the areas where you plan to weld. Ceramic resists heat very well...welding on top of it is a big problem ;)

I'd replace the whole flex section...just make sure you mke some index marks to properly align the pipe again.

Replace it with a braided style flex section. Cooleeze makes some cheap junk, so it doesn't surprise me.
