CPS wires giving me trouble

Every now and then my supra will not start because of the cps wires, I have to go out and just wiggle them around and then it will start right up every time, its getting old, It looks like someone has respliced new wires at one time to the little harness that runs into the sensor itself, but they soldered the wires together, so it was done kinda right. can the splice in the little wire harness be part of the reason as to why I just need to wiggle it around or do these sensor get loose connections in the sensor itself. Anyone had this problem before?
I am also looking for a new little wire harness for the cps sensor to replace if some one has it.

You may have corroded soddered connections. Take off the electrical tape on there and check it, you may want to re-do it yourself. If there is more wrong you may want to get a new cps.

Well

my first concern is what type of splice and crimper for the splice was used.

More than likely it was the NAPA/Radio Shack crimper that work but not very well. For a good quality crimp splice requires

anything else and the splice will fail. Sodlering. The area around there is to heat prone for soldering. Cranking, no wire stress relief etc. Not such a good idea.

 solder no bueno under the hood.

Dunno where you would fit a splice in the first place, that area is cramped as hell as it is...

Anyone know were to get one for less then 500.00?
All parts houses what about that much for the cps

I have a source that sells refurbished ones and warranties them for 30 days. Comes all cleaned up inside and out, new cap, new gasket, new O-ring, and greased with a white lithium grease. He wants $125 + shipping on them. Here is a picture of what it will look like:

Scott - Does he replace the internal seal and bearing? How about the gear?

but he's old, maybe he forgot to list it.

LOL...suffer from CRS myself ;)
(who are you again?)

If he replaced the internal bearing and seal, that is a very good deal!
