I don't see your logic here. You post a picture, and the most respected member on the board points out your problem. You then focus on a bearing? Yes, it could be bad as well, but I'd be looking for the burr on the camshaft by now.

If your going to rebuild the CPS, get a gear kit from toyota. It makes taking it apart less stressful because if you FUBAR the gear tryingto get the pin out your not F***** in the end, Not to mention yours looks a little chewed to begin with.
Also check out the gear on the camshaft to make sure its not chewed up.
