It would give a hard time starting, so you'd need to keep the throttle open for it to idle.

Man, you need a better harness. That one just looks brittle.

Tell me about i'm afraid of touching anything at this point.

Unplug the Iac completly.

slightly crack the throttle via the adjustment, or manually by hand. The car should start.

You need to get this thing figured out and started!!!! Time for a new harness

I sourced a new harness gonna try and get it today.

Hope this solves the problem

Only thing i'm worried about is the cps no longer has the clip on it and the 3wires that connect to the single Black wire are a bit short. So i might need to find a new CPS too.

Sucks cause everyday i'm out of a car i have to take the bus to work lol.

I *might* offer to make new harnesses pending the difficulty of mine. Yours looks like mine did.

That's a very generous offer :) let me know what you would charge and such and how difficult it was for ya.

Quick question?

Is it possible to pull the harness with out taking off the Intake manifold.

I was thinking i would pull the harness from the ecu and then try and get it through the bottom between the runners on the manifold if it's possible.

Any idea's to make it as simple as possible?

possible, yes. Easy, not unless you have access to a lift or are good working under a car on your back.

The rear knock sensor connector, ABS sensor connector, and reverse lights connector are hard to get to. Rear KS connector you have to loosen the starter bolts enough to move the starter out of the way. The ABS sensor connector should be right next to starter.

For R154:
The reverse lights connector is usually on top of the trans and is a pain in the ass to get to. Easiest way I've found is to remove the shifter and reach through the opening to undo the clamp that pins the wire from the sensor down. The rest is up to you to try to undo the connector.

On all harnesses that I have used, I've extended the reverse lights connector to make removal easier...

To pull the harness out, you'll need to remove the ISCV and TB. Easiest way anyways

I got the reverse light sensor disconnected through the top already. Is the starter able to be loosened from the top of the car not really able to get the car in the air ATM where i live they will not allow it.

And since the car won't move i can't take it somewhere else :(

Thankyou Moy

you can if you use a bunch of extensions but not the best way, and if you're not carefully you can break your knock sensor...

You can definitely pull it without removing the manifold. You'll probably want to pull a lot of other stuff though. Only a few things have to be removed from underneath. Most can be removed from up top if you've got skinny arms.

Regarding the harness and pricing: The hard part is that I may have to charge more than anyone wants to pay to make it worth my time. We'll see. If my crimper, stripper and heatshrink methods work well It might not be so bad. My harness cost like $700 in materials alone, but the costs go down fast for the second. I'll have tons of extra wire and sheathing left over and the $100 in crimper and stripper are obviously one time investments. If I started doing them in bulk I'd hope to keep costs around $500 for a mostly brand new harness. A lot less if connectors could be reused.

you can but you risk having the whole thing fall apart... but shit might as well... atleast we know miguels harness is a good working harness... but i think it's missing the knock sensors. (Carlin took them)
