Couple questions about a MK3 i found on Craigslist.

So i found a 89 mk3 on craigslist claiming 500hp (I don't believe) But anyhow these are my questions about it.

In the pictures below you can see he has

1.He has seemed to eliminate the PCV system?
2.IAC valve has also seemed to be modified in some way? (I noticed the vacuum hose is not being run over the top on the Valve covers)
3.He has also seemed to change the Throttle Linkage setup.

I would like to do these things also and have wanted to do for some time but have not seen many do it and have not seen muc info on it ?

Any idea's on what he did with the IAC valve and PCV ?

I figured removing the PCV would be a bad thing? or could you just replace it wit a catch can?
With the throttle linkage what is a good alternative to throwing out the stock setup?


But if anyone has tips or tricks to cleaning up the engine bay please share

I was just looking at the pics and saw the modifications but I can't afford a second supra lol.

Yeah I don't believe 500hp either, maybe 375 or 400.

Looks like an NA -> Turbo swap. That would explain the 88 wing, throttle cable, aftermarket wiring run all to hell and back without any protective housing, & lack of factory vacuum lines. Looks like they just left the IAC and PCV open to the air, which probably doesn't work all that well.

Pretty sure I have seen those pictures on Ebay. As for upgrades, I see a fuel pressure regulator (maybe Aeromotive, maybe not) and $7700 worth of wiring.

Let's not forget that Night Rider "boost" switch where the ash tray should be... Wonder what sort of tires those are that stock wheels are good enough for 500hp? :rofl:
