UPDATE:

coolant sensor is fixed. the friend who hooked that part of it up during the reinstallationg put the AC coolant sensor clip on the coolant temp sensor clip. i just had to switch them around and do some re wiring. all is good.

fixed my vacuum leak in the boost guage. all is good their now. im now idling at around -17-20.

yeah, and i found a RANDOM ASS piece in my engine bay that was not connected. its got vacuum connections on it too. heres the pic. where does this go?

That looks like the line vacuum line that goes to the EGR valve and the part with no line their should be a line on it going to a VSV iirc.

hmm. thats what i was thinking. the VSV is close to where im hearing my leak too right? ill have to try to find that and get her plugged in. im pretty sure that the screw/bolt was in the hose before we pulled the motor. so maybe it just needs to be capped off? we'll see.

thanks for locating it for me!

Sorry don't mean the thread jack here, but on the 3 sensor thermo housing, what is the bottom sensor for? The wire broke and the wire inside the connector is too difficult to solder back, can you buy this connector from yota?

buy from toyota.... hell no, if I get what your saying just go to a auto store and find the $5.99 box of 100 for connectors. then you know make the repair.
