sure $40 is a steal for a stock turbo that has no shaft play or oil on the exhuast side. a good upgrade will cost about $450

A normal CT-26 rebuild is $375 retail (I do them for $350), An upgraded CT-26
is about another $200 more. But Jon and I only do .57 trim because they last
the longest, and make the best reliable power.

Add $125 for a core charge if you're not turning in a ct26.

so it would be round 5 or 600??? i might as well go buy a new one..if im gonna pay that much...forget it then..

Sir, You've got to realize this is a direct bolt on to your manifold.
Also, it IS and WILL be brand new. Jon(MDC's) work is Top-notch.
If you want to pursue something bigger that will bolt on, you are going to be looking at a lot more than $500-600 (depending on a core charge).

GOOD Brand New Turbo's are not cheap. PERIOD.

57 trim should be more than enough. As John said, if pushed hard youll be in the mid-400's.

Thats fast.

And its reliable and cheap. What more could ya want for the money?
