I just got pulled over for a cover over my tag. .

It is illegal in the US, and sounds like Canada too. The only time I was ever stopped in a Supra was doing 75 in a 45.

Yeah, I also subscribe to the driving like an ass theory. I never had much trouble that I wasn't asking for.

I got pulled over for expired tags in the supra once... he probably would have never taken notice to the car, but I sped up an on-ramp to avoid having to merge into a big group of cars leaving an intersection. I wasn't trying to drive like an ass, I just don't like to be the guy who hesitates on a ramp. Just my luck... he was about two cars back in that group, and even though I never broke the speed limit, he got right behind me as fast as he could. Took two blocks before he hit the lights. I guess he wanted to see if I was drunk or planning on speeding. Nope. I was only planning on trying to resume normal breathing. I totally forgot about renewing my tags, since I just got the car on the road for the first time a month beforehand. All the respect in the world still ended with a $110 fine. Tried to make me feel better though by telling me "The fine is $25. I'm supposed to tow the car, because that's policy, but I'll let it go." He just forgot to mention the other $85 in fees they tack on. Lesson learned, renew the damn tags on time and merge with less fervor.

I was in the highschool parking lot waiting for my brother to get out of school. I was parked in the Parent pick up line and a cop flashes his lights and comes up to my car after i been sitting there for about 15 mintues and questions me about my tint and I gave him all the information stating it was within legal limits and he uses his tinit meter, it checks out fine but he wanted to be a dick anyways and give me a ticket. Got the ticket fixed and the cop no longer has a job. xD

I live on a small island where the cops have not much else to do..
Got pulled over 9 times within a week for having no front license plate on my tuarus sho.
Been driving my supra for about 3 years now and they hardly even give me a second glance.

I have a full cat-less 3" exhuast and a BIC ddp, and the car is bright red.

Haha well it is the SHO give it a little credit, guess they take no front license plate laws seriously here in washington, the last cop even signed his name on my registration and told me if he saw it again there would be trouble. all 9 times were just warnings, no tickets.

does such a device exist?

I doubt it, Also the plan is flawed because in order for a radar gun to judge your speed accurately it, it has to be not moving to do so.

If you use a radar gun from one car to another while both cars are traveling 55, it will read zero.

A radar gun determines the difference in speed from it to a moving object. If he was using it while following you, he was cruising at a set speed and using the radar gun to see how much faster or slower you were going then his speed.

Its also flawed because im sure he could see your car and would likely react before hitting you.

Ohhh don't get me started on people being able to "see" the movements of a car.... cause half of them just plane CANT :p

I had to drive my dads BMW one day wen both tails were out... not fun... I used to think "how hard can it be for someone to tell the car is coming towards them" until I had 6 or 7 near miss's the same day.... long story short by the end of the day I was using a racing line everywhere I went. As for the scrambler, it's only something I've "heard" of, but I'm sure the tech is out there. I know theres one scrambler that works by sending two signals one that reads 15mph and the other reads 312mph, so the radar gun can't get a good reading and won't read anything at all :p so the tech is there for sure, if anyone has made this a working feature I couldn't tell you. :p

I find it funny when my car was white i could speed all over and nobody seemed to notice, Now i have a slightly more visible color and i swear i have given a few cops whiplash as i went by, I also now seem to stick dead on the speed limit. My buddy in a 3rd gen RX7 and his son in a 240sx get pulled over a lot but they run the big spoilers and loud exhaust. I have been waiting to get a mod exhaust ticket but sofar so good, When i do i am going to fight it in court, when they quiet down the Harley's i will set my car back also.

I sold my MKIII about a year ago; White with a black hood from a black donor car (no, not for the pseudo-CF look, just had other things to spend money on). Now I drive a Signal Yellow MKII MR-2. I swear I received a LOT more scrutiny when driving my MKIII when it was all white (with a dented hood) and when it had the black hood swapped on than I do now. In fact, I really think some of the police are actually TRYING not to look so they don't get accused of profiling or something. I live near a high school and it's hard to drive ANYTHING that's even remotely sporty without getting a warning for something. I really don't mind the police though, the kids drive like absolute maniacs and if not for them it's a very nice community with a huge park running beside the road for miles.

1 time me and my gf are just getting on the freeway and as i am turning right onto a road a cop blurps me and he was at least 200 yards behind me and not even on the freeway with me. so i get pulled over cause of my exhaust apexi n1 at the time.. right when he pulls me over he says pop your hood i do it. as i am doing that 3 more cop cars come and they put my in cuffs for ''my safety''. well all i have is greddy bov which they thought was a fuel pressure regulator lol..well after about a hour looking at my motor they give me a fix it ticket for exhaust. To me that is a waste of tax payer money to have 4 cops pull me over cause of my exhaust but on the same street they can play pisa concerts with music you can hear over a 5 mile radius until 2am every weekend..

sorry if i come off as a dick but 7m took a shit on me and i am not in a good mood
