If it isn't, jack up the front of your car really high, almost to where your muffler is touching the ground. turn your car on and let it run until it's warmed up, then burp the air out through the radiator cap. BTW, is the temps getting hot? Did you just recently drive it hard? Check all of your coolant lines for leaky or shitty hoses. Are you loosing fluid in the resivoir tank?

Not to say what most of the old-timers do, but I thought I'd go ahead and say it first. Do a search for "waterfall" and you'll find all kinds of threads covering this issue. They range from coolant leak to blown head gasket, but all of them have to do with as the previous posters put it, air in the heater system. Since it's the highest point, it's the hardest to get purged. The search will yield all sorts of causes that could be the culprit as well as many solutions.

I've got the same thing, but I just ignore it for the moment as I know that I have a small amount of air in the system but I'm not losing any coolant. It'a annoying, but I won't have to deal with it for too much longer.

Good luck.

hi i had the same problem. go to your auto parts store and pick up that Prestone Coolant flush kit. it comes with a T valve that you put at the highest point of your coolant line, which is at the very back of the engine, there is a hose that comes out of the head and goes to the heater control valve. split the line in the middle and put that T valve in with the cap on. start your car let it run for a couple and crack open the cap untill coolant comes out and then tighten it. cause all the air will go to the highest point and when you open the cap it bleeds it out. let me know if it works out.

Great idea. I thought about doing something like that myself, but have been waiting on a total rebuild of the enigine bay before going into that. I may do that in the meantime anyway as I hadn't heard if anyone had tried something like that successfully or not.

I took the idea of one of those NAPA radiator flush&fill kits with the plastic splice in T and made it out of AN fittings. The final hose had to be shortened and the clamp cover that goes onto the head had to be removed inorder to get the hose on (it was installed while the engine was out, but it hits the firewall lip and doesn't let the motormounts lineup properly when you drop the engine back in).

I got all the fittings and lines from Summitracing.com, but if you know what you are looking for you can usually find it cheaper on ebay.

This is what it looks like with the engine in:

I've had and used the prestone kit, and if you simply don't run the heat for some time (living in florida that isn't too difficult, lol) it will have air in it again. Making everyone's efforts rather useless.

There is no way around it, the system will get rid of the problem by itself, all it needs generally is one heat cycle.
