I am sorry to hijack this thread but why do people think suprasport is shady? I just got my ic pipes from them and they are very nice. It took longer than expected, but besides that, it all worked out great.

I ordered almost $1000 worth of stuff from supra sport last month....

They had my stuff to me two days early, and I was very pleased with the product.

The prices also weren't bad.

Whats shady about that?

Whats shady is that they copy a lot of other peoples products (JBL, BIC, etc. ) and then market it as their own.

I heard that they ordered ALL of JBL's products, copied em, then returned all of it. Now they market it as their own. Pretty shady if you ask me.

Well, anyway, after seeing the dyno I will have to order a ddp as soon as I get the money and my hks dp with highflow elbow will be for sale!

Hey bigdough,
We do not make a downpipe. We do sell a few brands though...such as Cooleeze, Tanabe, HKS, Random Tech. How did I copy it if I do not make it? As far as JBL, we stopped selling his products per JBL's request and no longer allowed to use his pics and sent his remaining inventory back to him instead. The few remaining pieces in our clearance section is from what Jeff had left over.
And who is the etc.? I would just like to know who else's brand name products we are selling..therfore copying????? Yea doesn't really make sense to me either, facts are important when trashing a company and people, maybe
This thread had nothing to do with SupraSport what so ever but you thought it would be good to go into a BIC vs Cooleeze discussion and trash us, nice.
I do know that HPF carries Cooleeze too, does that mean they copied BIC too?
I have absolutely nothing against the BIC products and have seen them, they are very nice pieces. If you look at all the DP's on the market they will all be similar because they all have to follow the same path. I do not know the origin of the Cooleeze DP or when it was made and who made it first, we did not own SupraSport at that time, what I know is we do sell Cooleeze products, that does NOT mean we do not support BIC.
Sorry for the hijack but I had to reply to this one

Sorry one more thing just came to mind,
Ask Cooleeze about a Cooleeze product. Jeff (mrboost) can probably fill in some light here ask him, don't just blame us

Just wha Ive heard.

I didnt start anything. I wasnt the first or only one who said you guys sucked.

A friend of mine ordered his DP and catback from you guys and at the time it was listed as the Suprasport DP and catback. Now its no longer listed as such. So if there was a change, then cool. But I know at one time or another you guys did market your own DP.

Back the fuck up. You dont even wanna go into how long I waited for some shit I ordered from you guys.

First Cooleeze is an independent company, as is BIC. And Cooleeze doesn't make a DDP (which BIC does).

Now, for the BIC ddp numbers: At the Supra Nationals in Portland, Tom B. dynoed over 300rwhp through an automatic with the ddp, test pipe, cat back, intake, upgraded ct26 (probably not making a huge impact at this boost) and an adjusted fuel pressure regulator. His numbers are not outlandish, and they support BIC's original dyno comparison of the standard vs DDP.

As far as copying designs, let me give you a brief history (from the top of my head, so the exact details may be slightly off)

~1997 (when I joined the Supra world). HKS made this really cool downpipe that was super hard to find in the US (people were paying $300 for the thing!). Our friends to the north would slip these through customs as it was a no-no to retail an item which replaced an emissions device. These downpipes were awesome – they turbo spooled much more quickly and made more power than gutting the primary cat! They did hang a bit low, and lowered car owners often complained about scraping… But Dyno tests showed ~20 rwhp and ~25 ft-lbs of torque gained after installing so who cared! Some tinkering enthusiasts make their own downpipes but most of pretty rough by today’s standards.

~1998 HKS downpipes dropped in price ~$215. These were still often hard to get as they went fast.

~1999 HKS downpipes were rumored to be on the edge of being discontinued. More small shops began making them.

~2000 Aftermarket “turbo elbows” like the AMS began coming into the market. Boy did these things make a difference! Other downpipes start to come into the market

~late 2000 Supramania’s own Robert Pina begins working on an integrated downpipe/turbo elbow (work first started for the alltracs) He makes mention of using separate chambers (presumably one for turbine, one for wastegate). The all-knowing SOGI lists blasts him because no one should spend $300 in addition to the $400 CT26 upgrade when for a little more you get get a full to4 upgrade and ditch the ct26.

~2002 Defcon mass produces (on a MK3-scale) integrated downpipes/turbo elbows. These cost less than a downpipe/o2 housing and make as more if not more power. 270rwhp was no uncommon with full exhaust and intake Quality control issues and poor customer service cause them to collapse, but the DP market would never be the same.

~2004 BIC makes the DDP and the revolution begins anew. 300rwhp is not uncommon with full exhaust and intake

i installed my dp W/ a k&n filter kit and went from 190 whp to 232whp just from cooleeze and k&n.

im selling my cooleeze if your interested, i'll let it go 200 shipped with no gaskets, its got the flex section, and only hot coated to 1500. i've only used it for like 1k miles and im selling cus im buying a bic ddp.

the reason im selling it isnt because im not content with it, i love the thing the change is so dramatic, i can hear my car spool SOOOO much better now. i just really want to see wut difference a ddp would make. after i sell my cooleeze and get the ddp on there i'll post up a comparison.

with a defcon downpipe and a k&n cone filter(not even the big one) and 10 psi i made 297 rwhp.. with hardpipes i made 309 or something... cant remeber but it was right around that.. now i have a ddp and honestly i think most of the increase in power is because your boost lvl goes up so much.. so if ur stock and you put on a ddp and full exhaust from there back and a cone filter i would bet you would notice an enormous difference...
