didnt Defcon make 299whp with theirs as the only mod? i dont quite remember... seems quite remarkable if they did...
our stock elbow/dp is VERRRRY restrictive.... look at it. it's horrible.
but im sure there would be many unhappy customers, because im sure i didnt make 300whp with that+other mods...

I'm wanting actual numbers from an indivdual, not what a company claims they made though..... defcon probably upped the boost and ran thier downpipe with oxegenated race gas......

29 hp over another downpipe, but how much over the stock one.....

like, if the car is modded....

I've been running 14 psi, lex afm, 550 injectors, hardpipes, and all kind of other stuff while I was waiting on my downpipe to come in..... BIC DDP btw....

How much differenece should I notice over the stock downpipe with the cat gutted?

enough to give you wiplash, seriously,

you put a 3'' cooleze (what i have) on a stock mkIII and there is a very noticable difference, i did mine with a k&N at same time and immediatly went from 190 rwhp to about 220 rwhp, now the BIC. with the two passages one for the wastegate, and one for the normal turbo outlet you have no turbulence once your wastegate opens so you get MUCH more airflow, thats why if you put a BIC on a stock car like nate did you WILL hit fuel cut immediatly with no real mods just because it flows SOOO much better. i wish i knew about the BIC before hand cus i wouldnt have bought the cooleeze had i known about it.

btw wanna buy a 3'' cooleeze for $300 only 2k miles on it,

my vote is still for the BIC. three reasons:

1) hes one cool dude, who really cares about mkiii's.
2) his products are of wicked good quality.
3) he's a vendor in our forums, support him!!!

I know the ddp is better but between the regular bic 3' downpipe and the cooleze which one is better?

they are the same. HOWEVER, suprasport, cooleze ripped off BIC's design. if you notice they look exactly the same.

I went from a completly stock downpipe to a DDP and I went from stock boost to burying the stock boost gauge. There is so much more power just adding the DDP. Best thing I've ever bought for my car and Randy is an awesome guy.

Here is the dyno sheet. I personally dyno tested both of the downpipes durring the same session. The dynoing was done on Van Supra's car. The car was totally stock, with a few mods, BIC standard downpipe, no cats, 3" catback, Blitz bov and a K&N filter.

At 10 psi it made 255 rwhp and 267 tq (red rund). After two more pulls to verify the number I swapped the Dp to the DDP ( I have the burn scars on my arm to prove it). The next run with the only change being the ddp the power jumped to 283 rwhp and 285 tq at 11 psi (blue run), thats a 28rwhp and a 18 tq gain. Yes the boost did rise by about 1 psi but only because of the effiency of the downpipe, there was no boost controller or washers used on the car at all. So here you have the facts!!

The peak torque went up 18 lbs./ft. but after torque peaked there is a much greater gain, as you can see from the dyno. Peak gains, all though important are not the only thing to consider. There appears to be a gain of nearly 30 lbs./ft. near 5200 RPM. That's just amazing.

I unfortunately have a Cooleeze DP since I didn't hear about BIC until after I bought it. I am not a fan of Supra Sport and would recommend buying anything and everything from Randy. When the time comes close to installing my SP61GT I'll get the DDP that is specifically built to mate up to it. I absolutely cannot wait.
