i dont know anything of a bleeder valve other than the "valve" in the radiator cap that opens under pressure. to bleed the air from your engine you have to do it by removing the radiator cap and letting the air out. it can even mean getting your car on a hill to help fish out all the air. there are steps to doing this but i'm kinda busy and dont want to tell you the wrong steps. i ended up getting all my air out on level ground. so someone else will have to elaborate on that.
did you read the whole thread? well, either way...its possible you have a blown headgasket, which can cause coolant overflow which only contributes to overheating.
if you blew a radiator, there's a chance you have a lot of pressure in your system from a blown headgasket and changing the radiator will only potentially blow more radiators. i would test to see if you have a blown headgasket, one way is to get a 50 dollar test-kit from an auto store and it will tell you if there are exaust gasses in your coolant. i'd tell you to see if you have a very stiff coolant hose when the engine is running but if you blew a radiator and its puking coolant, chances are that's a given.
if your mechanic doesnt know about blown headgaskets, get a different mechanic, its definitly something to be aware of with the 7m engines. best of luck, hopefully its not a BHG but right now i cant think of what else would cause you to overheat.
UNLESS your fan shroud is gone and you live in a hot climate...OR your fan clutch is out and you arent getting proper airflow.... it overheats...and i guess that could cause the coolant to overheat enough to pop something.
anyone else got more ideas?
