i have a coolant leak on my 7m-gte that is dripping from the left front corner of the oil pan and on the steering rack a bit....water pump is up and to the right but am not getting any coolant on belts like a bad water pump would normaly do and then flick up on the underside of the hood. it is only on the rack and pan and dripping down. does anyone have any ideas? please help if u have had a problem like this or maybe think u know what it is. thank u

check the hose on the back of the thermostat housing goin in to the front of the block. You might need to remove the power steering reservoir to see it real good.

there is a good chance that 90 degree hose that boostjunkie mentioned is the culprit. that one goes pretty often since its so close to the exhaust manifold. otherwise it might be a bad waterpump gasket

so did you find out what the exact cause was? i think i have the same problem but i cant pinpoint it yet. i changed my waterpump because it was dead but i still have a coolant leak and i dont think its the waterpump or the gasket. im going to unbolt the ps res tomorrow and try to find it. from what i can see its not the lower rad hose.

It's probably going to be one of three hoses in the area.
1. Water feed to turbo
2. Water return from turbo
3. 90 degree elbow to coolant bypass hardline - this one is directly forward from the exhaust manifold, under the CPS / power steering reservoir, and is a PAIN in the ass to get too.

it was th 90 degree hose behind the ps res.

yes it can be ordered...i am a certified toyota/lexus parts specialist. unfortunatly i am on vacation this week. if you go to this link http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1988_TOYOTA_SUPRA_MA70L-BLMVZA_1603.html this is an online epc (electronic parts catalog) it will give u a picture and give u part numbers. i would have it verified with ur vin before ordering just because this is not a site liscensed with toyota. it is a big help when working at home on the car. the main site is www.toyodiy.com ck it out man. i believe the pnc is 16283 in the pic
