IIRC the Group A Supra used a chunky (but light) magnesium differential housing?

that just looks like a stock coated housing with a brand new -AN fitting tapped into it...

I can't verify that, but the cool little strip on that differential will change colors based on temperature. Looks like a pretty serious race piece, so I doubt an amateur threw it together. Keep in mind that a few non-factory teams raced Mk3's in different series, and there's no guarantee that the cars all had magnesium diff cases. Teams will test parts and change setups often, so there's no telling what was/wasn't used on a car at any given time.

Looks like it may be magnesium anyway. The only "rust" colored spot is around the cover which might just be sealant. It doesn't look painted, but it's not rusting...

Still pretty cool as it might not be a conventional gear ratio either.

some other parts are in the works now. like i said, if you want something new/unique you have to make it/design it yourself.

its for sale. unfortunetly the machine shop didn't tap the holes properly, hence the two top holes got re-tapped to fit the npt adapters in. if I make another one in the future, I'd make sure to use a tapered ream before tapping.

Does a "new" part count if it's a one-off and pretty cool? If so I might have something sitting upstairs...

I've seen quite a few of those. Never understood why Greddy left the bottleneck.

I thought that back in the day they were trying to create a "charge pipe" or something like that from the factory which may be why greddy left it. Also, the change in air velocity in the expanded portion probably affects atomization with the additional fuel being added at that point.

-not backed by facts-

Anyway, I'm still a fan of the HKS pipe which is what I'll run when I put my car back together using the simple old-school stuff.

anything shadow grey is some what rare

Count me in for the Shadow Grey interior. Unfortunately, one of the other three previous owners tampered with it and put the light gray leather trim and seats in it but the rest of the interior is genuine shadow and was original factory equipment for my car:) What's left of the original interior is all still in near mint condition too, despite the 155k on the clock.

Well see there, I learned something new today:) Thanks for that info. I guess that means I will be going full '92 spec soon, since I picked up the seats the other day, and the inserts and center arm rest are at the upholstery shop getting matched to them as I type...

It's Not Important Bro
Let's bring this thread back from the dead. Here is a rare 7MGTE (JDM as Hell) part. It's a CAI AirDam. It acts as a vilocitor and also shrouds the radiator heat away. I have seen this part on a MKIV, but have been told this may be the only one in the states for a MKIII but we've all heard that before - I can't substantiate. The part is made by a japanese company from back in the day called St. Mays. This part is not installed yet but when my build is underway, I will have something fabbed up to fit this in for sure.
