He's talking about using this with a manual transmission. Since the system shown operates with nothing more than linkages for leverage the guy's going to need another right arm to control the clutch... If you were to shorten the armature for the clutch pedal and mount it to the shifter he'd better have arms like Pop-Eye AFTER he eats the spinach... there's not going to be any appreciable leverage. Let not forget the fact that it couldn't be mounted to the shifter anyway as the required throw is going to change depending on which gear he's in and trying to go into.

I don't think it's doable with that system... not without turning the interior into an Erector set fetishist's dream.

I think you're underestimating the leverage that could be gained from a properly setup system. And as for the clutch lever moving with the shifter, it could use a cable for the first part of the linkage to allow for movement. Too bad they don't seem to have any more info on the website about it other than a little blurb. But the way they describe their system and the extra features it has, makes it sound like it's more electronically controlled than simply a linage setup. From the hill assist and panic brake features it sounds like there's a lot more going on down there.

But I still think the button with an electric solenoid would be the best way to do it.

But How DOT legal would any of this be?

My Father is in a wheelchair, permanently. He would love to have a fast car, But He isn't fond of most automatics manumatic systems, He thought the C6 Corvette was Okay, but none the less... It sounds interesting.
