#1 These guys are on the body of my 89 7MGTE, any idea what they are for and where they go?

p1650599_1.jpg

#2 This guy comes off of near where the alternator is on the 1JZGTE. Is it for the PS rack or something?

p1650599_2.jpg

#3 I know that this is for the heater and that I need to extend it, I think to connect to a male plug that is on my uncut 1JZ harness. Can anyone tell me the part number for this connector? I thought there was a thread identifying a bunch of connectors but I can't seem to find it.

#4 I think that these are water lines, is that correct? If so where do they connect to?

Thanks for any help!

#4 is the vac line that goes to the bov, and the other one on the firewall is for the charcoal canister, if you dont have one, cap it off and any vac lines that goes to it. then get a vented gas cap.

#1 the square is unused, i believe....

If you don't have a charcoal canister do not BLOCK that off without getting a vented gas cap otherwise pressure will build up into the gas tank.. Otherwise leave it open if you don't have a vented cap.

#3 is for the vsv for the heater control valve. You could bypass it by putting straight vacuum to the valve itself.

#4 the one next to the fire wall goes to the charcoal canister if i remember correctly. It's been a while since I had one. I don't know what the other is, I had a single.
#2 has to be extended to the rack on the other side.
#1 The round one might be the alternator if it's w yg by

Heres a good site for a swap.

Are you sure the round plug in pic #1 would be for the alternator if it is on the passenger side of the bay though? On the 7MGTE the alternator is on the driver side, so wouldn't a plug for the alt. be over there?
Thanks for the link!

If I leave the line open will that mean heavy gas fumes in engine bay and cabin area?

So you are saying that I would plug a vacuum line directly into this location and then not have to worry about the electrical connection?

yes if you leave it uncapped it will put fumes in the engine bay, but as i said before in my other post, you need a vented gas cap to release pressure in the tank, if you cap it.

So should I use that stock BOV vacuum line to run a hose to my aftermarket bov, or use one of the smaller vacuum ports on the intake manifold?

if you put the bov on the exhaust side of the engine, then use the stock location with a new vac line. if you are putting the new bov on the intake side then run a new line from the intake itself, just disconect were the exsisting bov vac line went and use that port.

Ok guys, here's some more. I am trying to figure out which wires I need to put into my EA2 to get my A/C to work on my 1J swap. I believe that whichever wire it is that I take from my existing body harness, needs to go into my EA2 pin #9 (which is a blue wire with red dots, not a stripe), correct? I believe that the 4 pin white connector shown in the pic (Item 1) is for the A/C correct? This connector has a blue wire with red "dots" that would match the #9 in the EA2. However, there are these two other blue wires with red dots that come off of my body harness as well, which are in the pic (Items 2 & 3). So which one of the three blue wires with red dots do I connect to the EA2?

I was also wondering what these guys are for?

You should be able to skip the EA2 plug altogether and just run the body wire straight to the A/C compressor, as it was with the 7M. I had mine like that for a while, then later I ran it through EA2 to clean things up.

I believe the second wire was to trigger the relay for the helper fan. If I recall correctly, I wired it in to my electric fan thermostat kit to force it on with the A/C.

Oh, and the two big wire 2-pin plugs are for the helper fans on the 7M shroud. Also I believe #1 is for the alternator.
