Confirmation of BHG please

Okay so I was driving down the street and i started to see some smoke coming from under my hood. So i stopped and checked and there was coolant all over the left side of my motor (turbo and intake side). My overflow was empty and my radiator was low as well. I filled it back up and when i manually rev the engine with my hand it will squirt and spray coolant from the head right in front of the turbo area. Pretty sure I have BHG? My temperature seems to be normal. Also my car makes quite a bit more gurgling noise than it used to when i shut my car off it even made the noise for a good 15 mins.:1zhelp:

Check the small 90 degree bent hose.

Check the small coolant lines (x2) that go to and from the turbo and the head. Have it pressure tested for leaks. Any pictures?

Don't run it anymore until you check the Dipstick for coolant in the Oil!

Is that actually the seem between the head and the block? I looked at mine and it looks to high up? :dunno:

there doesnt seem to be any traces of coolant on my dipstick.

ok good news there!

Would be very rare to actually blow a HG and get a squirter and have it still run!

I still suspect a hose or a fitting.

How is it running in general?

it seemed to run fine overall. which hose should i check cause im almost positive no hoses where shooting the coolant but i can double check.

It's got to be the straight turbo coolant hose going to the thermostat housing spraying down and bouncing off the head. :

Well, I got a rep point from him for post #12.. I can only assume it was not a crack...

haha well i did give you rep points but this did not solve my problem.

The coolant is shooting not from the turbo coolant hose (marked in red) it is coming from below the black cap (marked in green). Where the coolant is shooting out from is marked in black.

oh i forgot to mention, there was a fairly large coolant puddle in my garage after i parked it for the night last night. so the coolant is leaking whether the car is on or not. when the car is idling there seems to be a small stream of coolant leaking from where the "grimy and dirty" area that i mentioned on the picture on the first page. the more i rev it the harder the coolant shoots out.

Man, I thought I nailed it...

Mine looked exactly like yours except it was pissing out of the hose and just "looked' like it was coming from the head.. :dunno:

mine seems to be shooting from a location quite a bit lower than that. it seems to shoot about 4-6 inches below the headgasket or from where your coolant was leaking from. like i said earlier if you look at the first picture in the first page its coming, horizontally, at the same level of where all the dirt and grime built up. so quite a bit below your location joel w.
