Computer Question

I hope i can get an answer. My friend hooked a fcd to his 90 supra which i had reservations about because I already installed a neo in the vehicle. Ever since he did this the computer is giving out short circuit codes. I think the computer is shot. I'm a Ford guy and on them you can put a manual transmission computer on an automatic car with no problem. Can you do the same with these cars? Because manual computers are more available.

No, you can use a auto ECU for a 5spd but not the other way around. plus the wiring harness is different from the auto and 5spd.

You might want to tell your buddy that the FCD is a bad idea, that is the quick and easy way of getting rid of fuel cut, but also gets rid of your fail safe.
