you can, or you can just plug it into you motherboard, you just have to check out what slots you have online.

wow, uhm, ya, unless alienware has a sytem like Dell, there is absolutely no way to replace the video card on your laptop, it (like almost every other laptop) doesn't really have a video "card", it's a chip that's on the motherboard. So ya, there is no real way, unless like I said before, they have an interchangeable system like dell. Contact alienware and give them the model number of your laptop and ask them if the video card is upgradable.

That answer your question?

Oh ya, and you wont be able to just go out and get one if it is, you will have to get one from alienware.

Erm you only actually have a single CPU in the machine. It's more than likely a standard 3.2Ghz P4 Prescott with Hyperthreading, which will look like its got two cores whereas in reality, it just has the ability to start one thread before the first one completes.

As for the video card - well, i doubt you can but some of them can be swapped out if they're based on the MXM architecture.

As for alienware - avoid them. A friend of mine spent a load of money on a Sentia notebook thats needed to go back at least three times now bacause it's faulty. They're less reliable than other brands, and for the price, you get very little back other than a cool brand name - go for an HP NX class business notebook if i were you :S

figured something like that would happen.... i'm pretty sure it is interchangeable though... just gonna cost a LOT.... concidering this computer WAS about $5k... (i paid $950)

specifically states there are 2 processors, both being 3.2 ghz p4's.... this case has 2 cpu sockets in it, lol

what high end gaming/graphic processing do you do that needs a better card than the 5700? my IBM T43 with some bullshit card gets me good FPS in CSS, Guild Wars and WoW settings all on high
