compressor surge help???

I have read some of the threads about it but i cant seem to find how to fix. Or were the main problems can be. It all started since i got a ct26/60-1 i remember the stock ct sounded really nice swoshhhhh now this one sounds like a damn turkey lol. i just replaced the diaphram on the Real greddy rs. Were can i start lookin at guys need help don t want to kill my new turbo??? can it be the bov not been ajusted im runnin 15 psi so the screw should be all the way in the bov or further out?:1zhelp:

back the screw out if it is surging badly because you have it too tight . Back it off as much as you can too where it will still hold the boost you want.

are you sure that you have the vac. line connected right?

this makes me wonder....... the big diesel trucks don't always run bov's, and when they do the tractor pulls and let off, you can hear massive amounts of compressor surge. how do those turbos not explode when they are pushing 60+ pounds of boost????

because diesels don't have throttle plates....

I come from a land down under
When you close the throttle on a Gas car the turbo will surge against the buildup of pressure/volume and cavitate (the 3 stooges noise)

Our BoV's vent this excess but if the BoV can't flow enough say after fitting a larger turbo you can get back into surge (I ended up adding a 2nd BoV)

Diesel motors don't have a throttle plate/butterfly so don't suffer the surge we do.

Thank you guys just got it fixed..Tim i backed the screw almost all the way out and surge is gone. It works like a champ now its got that whip sound to it swoooooshhhhhh lol:love:
