When I took off the oil cap last time while it was running there was a small amount of smoke coming out. So I guess it probably is the rings.

Click to expand... 7M's "puff" a bit and breathe heavy but at idle there shouldn't be positive pressure (you can feel this putting your hand over the fill hole). I have good comp on a fresh build and had to put bigger PCV hoses on as the ones I used weren't flowing enough on the dyno.
