Ive been running a composite hg with arp studs tqd to 90lbft for a while now at 17 lbs with a t04e with no issues. that being said if I ever am building a block Il definitely be having it planed to the proper finish and run a mhg. without planing the block youll never get as good of a seal as with a composite... ask me how I know lol
