Has anyone else got the demo yet? I've been playing it nigh on all weekend, almost forgot to go see his holyness as well because of it....even with just one mission and one skirmish - my GOD its fun!

You missed my thread about a week ago on this, hehe. But yeah, I am most DEFINITELY getting this game in a couple weeks. Have you tried skirmish on hard yet?

I just garrison all the buildings with two missile squads and the rifle squads, set up a load of predator tanks with railguns in the streets and unleash hell
I'm the sort of person that just builds a shitload of heavy armour and marches them into the enemy base to ride of the valkyries

lol, yeah I'll build a crane and drop a refinery, then get the thingy to get mobile armor out as fast as possible, build the construction vehicle, expand as fast as I can, then build up an army and attack from all sides.
I like to play medium though and build up an air force and just play with the computer for awhile. (take out all of it's power plants and keep taking them out every time they try to rebuild)

I dont see the point of ORCA's just yet. I'll expand the base with either the rig or the surveyor to the tiberium field to the north of the starting point, or to the 'park' before all the civvie buildings, or sometimes both, garrison as many buildings as possible and then build tanks. lots and lots of tanks.
The only thing i find annoying is the NOD flame troopers, annoyingly hard to kill and one shot takes out a whole building of my guys :/

The orca on it's own sucks (against buildings and troops), but against armor it's badass. It'll also point out any stealth aircraft, ground units or buildings around if you upgrade at the tech building (which is pretty useful against those damn bombers and enemy AA) I usually run half and half orca and valkerie. I build up 3 squadrons of 12 aircraft each and each squadron is more than capable or raping any garrisoned building or enemy building.
The unit I hate the most though are the fanatics. Those bastards just kill my automated base defenses like nothing and so many can be trained at a time. But those flame guys are a close second

Anyone know the official date offhand? Ive got the demo... funny i had just gone back to playing generals: ZH and have almost beat every map on max. very hard oppenents...
