Why did graeme assemble the bottom end before machining the block surface? That wasnt very smart.
Yeah , you need to dissassemble everything to deck it anyway, to mount it on the machine. Maybe he knows somethign we don't?

meh, i figure as soon as my brother gets home it will be me (moderately built) him (really well built) 1 friend (slight build) and 1 more (slight build) to pull it out. a little under 100 lbs for each of us, so we should handle it easily.Frozentide said:

i called my machinist, and after cursing from both of us about the problem, the engine is gonna go back to his shop to do the helicoil on it. it was sucky because it does show how crap the stock heli coils are. not even 40 ft lbs and it buckled. oh well...
