Heh well Ced (JustAnotherVictim) talked me into it. i wasn't going to post about it because im not as cool as like Jake and stuff, but i figured what the hell now :icon_razz
So here is is basically.
Standing proud on jack stands, it is my pride and joy to an extent that every time i wake up and see it outside, i am shot with a rush just to drive her again.
Can anyone guess whats happening?
Well story of my car was i bought it for a steal locally, and it ran and pulled strong! So i was happy when i purchased it... until 1st oil change.
I opened the oil drain, and stuff started SLOWLY dripping out. the oil was so thick, you could literally make it stand up by itself. I feared the worst, so i put in some 5w30, but yep. start up, i had the knock. Sucked big time but what else could i expect.
so here is where i stand as of right now. It will be pulled today hopefully when i get my load leveler from a local supra owner. Now some of you may wonder when this will be up and running after the engine will be rebuilt, but i already planned for that one .
I do not have a picture of it, but my 2nd engine that i got is already basically rebuilt. it is at my machinist just getting the resurfacing done, and then it will be assembly time with new pistons, rings, oil pump, refreshed head with valve stem seals, straightening etc. Soo excited.
Now here is the stock head gasket.
not bad from far... but under closer inspection....
:biglaugh:
Good thing now then later i would say
Now as for the plan.
i am shooting for 400rwhp. i have a bunch of go fast goodies already here, and some under way.
I have also ordered every possible gauge that can monitor stuff such as:
Boost (obviously )
Oil temp
Oil pressure
Innovative wideband
Cfm (maft pro)
Fuel Pressure
Replaced the stock boost with a voltmeter.
I have all my fuel set up and my fuel management of choice is maftpro which is on it's way here as we speak.
some random goodies here as well.
Courtesy of Ian (IJ.)
So plan basically consists of:
Upgraded fuel
Upgraded ct
Upgraded clutch (spec stage 2)
Raptor Racing DDP
maftpro speed density (should net me some more horsepower)
fresh rebuilt motor (.20 over)
and 18 psi (daily will be 13)
Hopefully that lands me near there, and the rest will be coming shortly. So i will try to update this as much as i can, but i am busy with my band as well, but i will try my best not to leave you guys in the shadows.
Thanks for looking!
